-Iligan is known in the country as the City of Majestic Waterfalls. Iligan is home to a more than a dozen waterfalls that you will surely love. The most famous of all is the Maria Cristina Falls which also serves as the "power generator" not only in Iligan but also for the whole island of Mindanao. Iligan also has numerous and various caves. Great for adventure trips!

9. Beaches
-Beaches in Iligan are not the same or as majestic to Boracay or to the White Sand Beach in Camiguin but if you want soltitude and peace for yourself or for your love ones, our beaches will provide such. Most of the beaches in Iligan are found kilometers away from the city proper but it's worth a ride.
8. Cheap yet Delightful Food
-There are also quality restaurants in Iligan serving you delightful food. Even people in their tight budget can eat in these restaurants at a daily basis. So affordable but it;s more than you pay for.

-Compared to other major cities, Iligan is not leaning so far from peace and order. Though petty crimes are reported, it doesn't put the city in danger. Citizens and the police are taking its part to sustain the peace and order Iliganons has been enjoying for quite a time.

-If you wanted affordable yet quality education, Iligan is a proud city at that. In Iligan is where MSU-IIT stands tall and proud. Being with the Top 10 State University and Colleges of the entire country, no wonder MSU-IIT is the best educational institution that you can have. Iligan also has a number of colleges and technical schools that offers quality and affordable education.

-Unlike the metro cities in the country, life in Iligan is as relax as taking a nap in a beach waiting for the sunset to come. You don't need to run for the time. Time is your friend in Iligan. It will take your lead as to how to budget it. It waits for you no matter how slow you are. Ideal for tourists and travelers a like who doesn't like competing with the ruch of time.
3. Friendly People
-Iliganons, like majority of the Filipinos, are friendly type of people. I'm confident that you won't be meeting a grumpy Iliganon. So you can freely ask for help especially if your at lost. They are also a good tourist guide. Just ask them a place that u wanted to go and they will lead you there plus will recommend you other places in Iligan that you would enjoy.

2. Strategic Travel Spot
-Located in the Northern shores of Mindanao, Iligan is also a strategic place to discover the wonders of the country and the beauty of Mindanao. From Iligan, you can travel by bus directly to the Business District of the Island, Davao. You can also visit the neighbor city of CDO. If you want to see the cultural side of Mindanao, Zamboanga is a stone-throw-away place from Iligan. If you also liketo visit the capital, you can take a 1-2-hr bus ride to Laguindingan for you to travel by air to Manila. From the said airport you can visit numerous places all over the country. Iligan truly is a haven for travel enthusiats and for foreign and local tourists.
-Ranging from Php250-Php5000.00 you can now stay in a decent inn, pension houses, hotels, and apartments while having your business, educational, or travel oppurtunities in the city. Iligan also has low affordable food chains, restaurants, and snack bars. There is no reason to be left hungry in Iligan and to stay poorly!
